Shepshed Men in County Finals 2024

Mens County Finals Day, 4 August at Leicester Club

Congratulations to Jimmy Alcock making it to the County 4wd Singles Final. Playing against Tom Bishop of Hollycroft Park for the title, Jimmy just came up short, losing 21v16. We look forward to seeing his progress in the 4wd Singles at the Nationals, Leamington on Friday 16 August, 9.15am start versus Andrew Kirtland from Darlington Railway Athletic, Durham. Good luck Jimmy.

Further congratulations to our 2 Senior Fours Teams (photo above) who sadly had to play one another for the single slot at the Nationals. Mick Englsh, Dell Elliott, Glyn Jones & Bob Burton played Richard Yates, Mick Jelley, Andy Smith & Phil Taylor. Bobs team came out on top 20v9. Both teams deserve a huge round of applause for making it to the County Final match.

Bob's team will be playing at the Leamington Nationals on Wed 28 August, 9.15am start against a team from West Park, Yorkshire.

Shepshed Women in County Finals 2024

Womens County Senior 4s Finals, 2 June at Holwell Sports

Congratulations to Sharon Taylor, Gail Jackson, Jacquie Watson, Jackie Jones who won their semi-final match 21v9 against Market Bosworth and then played the Final against New Lount, losing 22v9.

Sadly there is only one team representing the County at the National Fials in both the mens and womens Senior 4s competitions.

Non-Leamington Finals were held at Narborough BC, Sunday 30 July

Congratulations to all the players that took part through the competition rounds culminating in a great win against Birstall BC. It was an excellent match, enjoyed by many Shepshed members supporting our team. Thanks to everyone who turned out to cheer them on.
